I have learned from our own bitter experience that the last thing a person recognizes and understands his own condition in God's eyes. Well, it says the Holy Spirit that we are blind and deaf and foolish and dead asleep, and of our being made! Nothing, nothing will ever lead a person of his sin, except the Holy Spirit is doing it.
show him hell, and he will not flee from it, show him to heaven, and he will not seek, let him in the face of warnings silence, and yet it is not him shake; never touch his conscience, and but he will remain hard. The force has come down from above to this Work to do. to show the people what a sinner he is, in fact, the special work of the Holy Spirit of God.
